To tik vajadzēja

Japan’s Artificial Blood: A Medical Breakthrough That Could Save Millions

In a quiet Tokyo lab, scientists have done what once seemed impossible—create artificial blood that works for any blood type, lasts over a year without refrigeration, and can be used in emergencies, war zones, and remote regions.

Developed by Japan’s National Defense Medical College, this lab-made blood includes red blood cell substitutes and platelets suspended in a special preservative. In animal trials, it successfully restored oxygen levels and stopped bleeding, even in critical situations.

Unlike donor blood, which expires in weeks and requires exact matches, this artificial blood is universal and long-lasting. It could revolutionize how paramedics treat injuries, how hospitals manage supply, and how we respond to disasters or battlefield wounds.

This isn’t science fiction—Japan may be on the edge of solving one of medicine’s biggest problems: safe, fast-access blood for anyone, anywhere.

Palielam cik zinu bija izmantoti samazināti vīriešu modeļi- kas nu anatomiski protams neatbilda.

Man patika reizēm ieiet pie Virši Origo.

[QUOTE] Scientists created microscopic robots that can morph between liquid and solid states.

This allows them to alter their shape and form a number of complex structures. Oh, and they also self-heal.

Scientists have unveiled a revolutionary robotic material that mimics the transformative abilities of living organisms, inspired by how embryos shape and heal themselves.

Developed through collaboration between the Dresden University of Technology and UC Santa Barbara, this system features disk-shaped robots that use magnets, motors, and light sensors to shift between rigid and fluid states.

By coordinating like biological cells, these robotic units can self-assemble, reshape, support weight, and even recover from damage—laying the groundwork for a new generation of adaptive, self-healing materials.

The breakthrough addresses one of robotics’ long-standing challenges: creating collectives that are both strong and flexible. Using magnet-based adhesion and motorized gears, the robots can fluidize to reconfigure their shape or lock together into a sturdy structure.

Light-based signals act as a centralized “brain,” telling each unit where and how to move. While the current prototype includes just 20 large robots, simulations show it could scale to thousands of miniaturized units, transforming the future of construction, wearable tech, and dynamic tools. Neko tā, likās, kas tad tur itkā nedaudz nolija…:face_with_peeking_eye:

Wtf Wdym omg -_-

Omg we are still at “that” times :sob:

Man ar pirmā dzirdēšana ka šādi rīkotos. Like ir speciāli manekeni priekš tā ganjau. Vienīgais varbūt budžets neļāva neko vairāk kā cūku no Centrāltirgus nopirkt XD

Never vaļā rakstu.
