Giuliano Finelli (1601–1653) was an Italian Baroque sculptor who emerged from the workshop of Bernini…
Finelli’s numerous portrait busts of local noblemen and church dignitaries capture his subjects’ personalities, while revealing his mastery of marble sculpture through the exquisite rendering of textures and details of dress, skin, hair, and jewels.

Labas marmora statujas ir stilīga padarīšana. Visai iespaidīgi dzīvē uz to skatīties, kad mati, sejas vaibsti un drēbes izskatās kā īstas.

Ivan Titor (Czech, b. 1960).
“Beyond the Edge” / 1998.
Oil on canvas, 80 x 65 cm.
A surreal landscape by a Czech painter whose work flits between representational and abstract. He paints hallucinatory landscapes as well as objects (some recognisable as such; others not at all easily identifiable). Evokes impressions of Yves Tanguay and perhaps Max Ernst to a lesser degree. He studied at the University of Ostrava, Department of Arts, and is also a senior lecturer there at the department’s associated Painting Studio.
